Michael’s career started as a Sports Mentor, coaching boxing and rugby as part of gun-violence prevention program in Chicago. Subsequently, Michael attended the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, where he graduated with Master’s in Social Work. He trained as a school social worker, and has experience working with a wide range of intellectual disabilities and developmental delays. Michael has also facilitated harm reduction groups with LGBTQ youth.
