Everyone can benefit from a healing relationship with a counselor who is safe and trained to facilitate space to verbally process all aspects of life, including counselors themselves. In my experience working with a wide variety of clients, I have observed that people who desire change can achieve their goals in an environment where they can speak vulnerably about their experiences and have the structure to organize and challenge the automatic thoughts that have shaped their lives up till that point. Living by one’s core values is essential to thriving, so it is essential to identify them and evaluate how we abide by them.
