I work from a Trauma-informed approach. Often, anxiety, panic, etc., are rooted in trauma held in our bodies, which activate our flight, fight, freeze, and fawn responses. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist (EMDRIA) and work deeply with Attachment Theory. As a passionate advocate for diverse groups, I understand the necessity of cultural humility and social justice advocacy. I am well-versed in the dynamics and systemic issues, and current events that contribute to behavioral health issues and mental health disparities. I have a deep compassion for the underserved and communities of color, and LGBTQI+ communities. I work from a Relational-Cultural Theoretical position and believe that partnering and working together allows for shared power and learning. Additionally, I work from a deeply informed trauma understanding and, through EMDR, can help clients deactivate triggers. Additionally, I treat the impact of Narcissistic/Antagonistic personality abuse.
