Couples in all stages come to therapy. Whether love is new and they're trying to figure out life's challenges before taking the next step, or love is old and familiar but maybe it hasn't been working well lately (or for the last several years). It's best to come in and sit down with a third party not connected to your family or friends and be able to sort through everything in a supportive and safe environment. I even work with people who have decided not to be a couple, but are committed to co-parenting. While couples are the biggest part of my practice, I love working with individuals and families as well. My focus is relationships- so even when I'm sitting with an individual usually they're talking about the relationships in their life: partners, kids, co-workers, friends, etc.
