As a UCLA-certified PEERS Specialist, I support teens who struggle with social communication, friendships, and daily interactions. Many neurodivergent adolescents want peer connections but need explicit instruction and adaptive skills training. My PEERS program is a structured, evidence-based social and adaptive skills curriculum teaching teens to develop friendships, build conversation skills, enter and exit conversations, use humor appropriately, handle disagreements, manage electronic communication, and improve social reputation through lessons, role-play, and guided practice. Through PEERS, teens gain practical tools for life.
