At times, we find ourselves drowning in a spiral of helplessness and hopelessness, wondering if there is a way out. We feel shame for not becoming who we hoped to be and experience the sting of disappointment in our relationships. We suffer first from the arrow that wounds us, and then even more by pulling it in and out, ruminating over it again and again. Are we just foolish? No. This is simply how the human mind works.
