About

How you show up for yourself is just as important as how you show up for others. This fact often gets lost when we are faced with stress, trauma, illness or loss. “Coming back” to yourself with understanding, compassion and empathy is a critical first step toward personal recovery and restoring relationships that are hurting. In therapy with me you will gain tools to help with coping, communication, and setting boundaries. I help clients understand their own emotional attachment needs and interpersonal style and I believe therapy is most effective when grounded this way. As a clinical health psychologist, I specialize in helping individuals cope with chronic/life-limiting illness, reproductive, sexual, and perinatal health concerns. I also specialize in trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, men's issues, and relationships. I use a blend of evidence-based therapies, e.g., cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and narrative approaches.
