New Mexico Psych Med Services and Dr. Christina Vento provide collaborative, person centered psychiatric medication management services by prescribing psychologists for teens and adults We do not see patients for psychotherapy only but supportive psychotherapy is integrated into our medication services. View 4 Photos Prescribing psychologists bring the tools of psychotherapy to working with medications. We see medications as one more tool to help, best when other ways to improve symptoms like therapy have not been effective enough. We strive to reduce symptoms so that the person becomes less 'stuck' and more able to effectively use those other important tools.
