Choosing a therapist is an incredibly personal decision. It has to feel right. Your relationship with me is the most important part of the therapeutic process. What you have experienced in your life, and now, provide a model to you of how you see the world, and how the world works for you. Therapy is a place where you get the incredible opportunity to either stay in your familiar comfort zone, or challenge and remodel parts of your mind that no longer serve you. I have a large respect for someone who pushes to heal themself, and seek growth. Self care is a powerful declaration! My approach might be different than therapists you’ve seen in the past. I am not someone who simply sits and nods, repeats back what you just said, or just waits for you to start talking. I fully understand you are coming to me because you need guidance and feedback. I would describe myself as genuine, authentic, and real.
