Sometimes our lives are stable; however, there are times where we are suddenly confronted with traumatic experiences or losses, such as health problems (dx. of cancer or terminal illnesses), the death of a loved one, separation of the family, loss of work, problems with our children, or academic struggles. These situations can make us feel unsure of our own capacities and emotional strengths which can lead to increased vulnerability, and can cause us to start experiencing high levels of depression and anxiety, or other emotional pain/fears.
