There comes a time when we realize that friends and family can't be our only outlet. Sometimes they rush to "fix us" or don't fully understand. Some of us don't have any support at all. We ultimately find that what we need is a neutral person with whom we can unload our burdens, free from judgement and critique. We need strategies to help us cope with difficult feelings and heal from the past. We find that once we begin this important work, we've created a path toward self acceptance, balance and empowerment.
