I assist my clients in making positive changes in their lives when they are facing challenges. My approach is supportive and encouraging, helping clients reach their goals and potential. I have extensive experience working with clients that have substance abuse problems, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and depression.I have also worked with dual-diagnosed clients. I am trained in a variety or treatment modalities. I often draw on a cognitive behavioral approach, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness. Educating clients on techniques to manage anger and stress as well as learn effective communication skills enhances their ability to deal with change and life choices. Understanding how thoughts influence feelings and behavior and heightening awareness of thinking patterns gives clients the tools that they need to change behaviors that are self-defeating.
