I obtained my PhD in clinical psychology at the Universidad Central de Venezuela UCV in Caracas in 2002. Soon after I was hired to provide clinical assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis management, and therapy to children and families at Clifford Beers Community Care Center. In 2011 I was promoted to Program Manager for the Latinx and trauma services. In 2013, after I obtained my LCSW, I became faculty at SCSU where I have been teaching a clinical practicum class to MSW candidates. In 2016 I joined the Pediatric Primary Care Center at Yale, in addition to providing clinical services to children and families,
