My name is Dr. Paul Van Zeumeren, but Dr. Paul or Dr. Z. will do given the length of my last name. Although I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California, I do not work with couples and families in therapy. Rather, I use the systems approach to inform individuals how familial experiences may be affecting current relationships and outlooks. I hold a Psy. D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in Family Systems/Dynamics. I held a C.A.T.C., which is a certified addiction treatment counselor while working towards my licensure and degrees, so I am a specialist in recovery from substance use disorders.
