My name is Renee Deschaine, LCSW. My approach to therapy is client-centered with the belief that people have the innate ability to understand themselves and make the changes needed for growth. I place an emphasis on providing a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic space where clients feel heard and understood. The most common theoretical approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution focused therapy, and Humanistic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
