I believe I was born a therapist. Caring and understanding others have always been natural parts of me. I believe each of us is born with the inner guidance to grow into the best version of ourselves. But there are many challenges along the way that interfere with that process. Childhood trauma, loss and painful circumstances, make us doubt and lose sight of our inner guidance. We begin to unconsciously work against ourselves; the result is pain in the form of emotional distress, unhealthy choices and hurtful relationships. But we have the ability and even an obligation to ourselves and family to heal and rediscover our true selves.
