My journey with substance use and recovery is deeply personal. I have walked the road of healing myself and also supported loved ones through their struggles with addiction—as both a daughter and a sister. This dual perspective, as a person in recovery and a family member, profoundly shapes how I approach my work in substance use treatment. Growing up in a home affected by addiction, I witnessed how substance use can fracture communication, distort family dynamics, and create environments rooted in survival rather than connection. But I also learned about resilience, love, and the strength it takes to say, “This ends with me.”
