Because counseling can sometimes be a daunting experience, I aim to put my clients at ease from the first moment. Life can be difficult to navigate. We accumulate invisible scars and wounds over time. When the tools and thoughts that we use to cope with life's changes and challenges are out dated, they can leave us feeling depressed, fearful, or overwhelmed. I work collaboratively with my clients to fully understand their issues and to develop treatment strategies that address their concerns in an open, safe, and understanding environment. I’m a licensed social worker, practicing in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania. I see children, adolescents and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and histories of trauma. In my practice, I use EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, Internal Family Systems and Somatic Intervention and I draw from other evidence-based methods.
