About

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Organizational Consultant. In private practice for 32 years, I see adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My therapeutic style combines family systems, psycho-dynamic theory, and brain-based/cognitive behavioral therapy to promote change. To be effective, I believe a therapist must build trusting relationships and see each client as a unique person in their own complex environment. I provide training and staff development to child welfare and mental health programs, teach Family Therapy and Clinical Assessment at The University of Maryland School of Social Work, and serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Family Strengths.
