I think being human is hard. I believe on some level, most people know who they want to be, but it gets really hard to show up in our lives when the bad feelings-fear, guilt, shame, embarrassment, anxiety-are present. I think my role as a therapist is to help people learn how to show up in their lives and grow enough to have these bad feelings, and be people they can be proud of.
