I understand that for many, therapy can feel like a last resort to deal with everything that life throws at us. I believe, however, that it is actually the first step towards a less painful and more fulfilling way of living. I also respect the challenges involved in engaging in the therapeutic process and am committed to making sure my clients feel safe, secure, and supported throughout our time together. I have eight years of experience in private practice as a mental health counselor, and recently obtained a PhD in Counseling Psychology. I have extensive experience working with clients in high pressure careers including finance, law, medicine, tech, sports, and the arts. In therapy I work from a relational psychodynamic framework which helps us recognize and understand patterns, and explore relationships. I also offer more practical and concrete support when appropriate.
