Hello, I am Shannon Pokorski, a mental health counselor of 10 years, offering therapeutic services to adolescents, young adults and adults facing various challenges that interrupt the flow of everyday life. I place importance on a strong therapeutic relationship, based on mutual respect and trust. My authentic style of relating to others has resulted in a natural connection with the adolescent population, which has become one of my specialty areas of treatment. I infuse humor in my sessions, which makes me relatable as well as highly effective. I assist clients in finding constructive coping skills when dealing with such issues as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image, traumatic stress, phobias, and grief and loss. I am well versed in helping individuals navigate the set of unique challenges associated with marital separation, divorce and blending families.
