Things you will never hear in my office: "You shouldn't feel that way", "I've heard much worse", "What's in the past is in the past", "I'm sure your parents did the best they could". Whatever happened is not as important as how it affected you! Your life experiences will never be trivialized in the therapy space that we create together. Literally everything out of your mouth will be heard, and then validated! The things you don't want to talk about? I'll never push you to say things or go to areas that you are not ready to go to. When you are ready to confront something, you will do it because you feel ready to face it.
