I believe the counselor and client relationship is a collaboration where the client’s experiences and feelings are combined with the counselor’s tools and knowledge- to help facilitate movement forward while processing the client’s past. I do this utilizing a multitude of evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy; among others!
