How did we get here? After a 25-year career as an editor I decided to change my professional focus to helping people explore and manage a broad range of mental health issues. Today, my therapeutic approach includes helping clients research their past narratives, write the stories that best suit their intentions, and edit out what isn’t working in their lives. I am the best fit for a client who is ready and willing to focus on themselves by digging deeply into the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors underlying their concerns. I don’t think that “selfish” is a dirty word. I often assign homework because I expect my clients to work on themselves beyond the length of a therapy session.
