Many of my clients come in carrying guilt, shame, and relentless self-criticism. They’ve spent years trying to be good, agreeable, or capable, often within family dynamics that made it hard to trust their own emotional reality. For many, that also meant muting parts of their identity to stay connected or safe. Now, relationships feel confusing or unsatisfying, and they struggle to make sense of how they react or relate. Therapy with me brings language and structure to patterns that once felt like personality flaws, and clients often describe finally understanding themselves in a way that makes emotional change feel possible.
