I specialize in helping people understand, cope, and thrive following a traumatic auto accident and all of the complications that follow significant injuries or a sudden disability. Often my clients have sustained a traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury, and are experiencing changes to their personality, memory, mood, impulse control issues, and ability to function independently. Many are also dealing with symptoms of PTSD, chronic pain issues, and orthopedic injuries. Co-occurring mental health issues like Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Dementia/psychotic symptoms, OCD, and Substance use disorders are also common. I practice from a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed framework using evidenced-informed therapy approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered, Feminist, Narrative, and Somatic therapy. I am a Certified Brain Injury Specialist.
