My counseling approach reflects academic training, personal experience as an active duty military spouse and mother – all of these experiences shaped my outlook and foundational beliefs. I believe we are unique and complex with a variety of needs, but the baseline is rooted in human interaction comprised of caring, respect, acceptance, support, and understanding. We all possess the capacity for change from within. However, we sometimes need an external catalyst that a counselor may provide utilizing a safe and therapeutic environment comprised of genuineness and empathy.
