About
Prior to working full time in clinical therapy, Stephen served almost 20 years as a pastor. During that time, he dedicated a significant portion of his ministry to counseling those struggling with various emotional, spiritual, and relational issues. Since then, Stephen has worked in both private practice and community mental health settings. He has teamed with clients from all age groups and diverse backgrounds to help them overcome life struggles, process through mental health concerns, and manage relationships and daily functioning. Trauma has increasingly been an area of focus for Stephen. View 6 Photos Stephen approaches clinical counseling from both a Cognitive Behavioral and Adlerian orientation. These approaches focus on the connections between people’s beliefs, behaviors, and emotions, and how each of these influences the other. Stephen also focuses on the importance of healthy relationships in forming healthy personal identity.
