Hello, my name is Susana Valdez, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who works with individuals and specializes in adults who may be experiencing difficult life events, challenges or transitions. I practice a strength-based approach to therapy, focusing on each individuals' strengths and capacity for resiliency, while taking into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes. I am skilled in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strength Based Therapy and Crisis Intervention.
