Being a teen girl is tough! Raising a teen girl can be even tougher. Anxiety, depression, identity issues, peer relations, academic stress, and outside pressures can leave teen girls needing increased support just as many are beginning to pull away from their parents to develop their own passions and purpose. Parents often find themselves feeling like an outsider as their teen daughters suddenly begin to turn to peers, friends, and social media for advice and guidance instead of mom or dad. This can lead to increased family conflict as parents and teens struggle to communicate with each other and find common ground.
