You may be in a dark place, and my goal as a therapist is to help instill hope and confidence and help you find your way back to a place of light. I believe life is a journey of becoming and learning to love ourselves whole heartedly. This journey involves revisiting past parts of ourselves and understanding how our past relationships and experiences influence our behaviors in the present. By gaining an awareness we have the ability to change self-defeating behavior patterns and the thoughts that drive those behaviors. Therapy is a place for healing wounds of the past so that we can live a life filled with love and enjoyment. I specialize in working with teens and families, with a special emphasis on Latino culture. I have a strong focus in treating trauma and I have trained teachers, probation officers and judges in trauma informed practices.
