English | español Hi, my name is Laura Amelia and I am a Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have a wide variety of experiences working with different types of mental health issues but have the most experience helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders or have unresolved trauma. I am currently pursuing a second license as an addiction counselor (LAC). My hope is to provide a safe space for you to process your emotions, develop a deeper understanding of your needs, wants and who you are, and help you make progress in your healing journey. I use motivational interviewing to help you internalize confidence and figure out your why when you are contemplating change. I also integrate attachment theory into the healing experience and facilitate somatic and inner child work. Other modalities used are: CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT tapping.
