I help couples use their love relationships to develop and maintain emotional safety and intimacy while working on their relationship issues. I help couples gain understanding of their relationship agendas stemming from unhealed childhood emotional wounds. Couples design caring behaviors (words, gestures, timing) for emotional healing. In counseling, I help couples to talk to each other one-at-a-time, many report feeling heard for the first time in their lives. Emotionally safe transactions lead couples toward greater fulfillment, intimacy, trust, and friendship. Asking for specific caring and behaviors is the responsibility of both partners.
