Dr. Westheimer works with individuals of various ages, but has specialized training in the treatment of children and adolescents. Her graduate studies also included a concentration in neuropsychology. Dr. Westheimer's pre-doctoral internship was completed at The Children's Home in Tampa, Florida with an emphasis on adoption preservation, childhood neglect, trauma, and evaluation. She also completed a rotation providing immediate crisis intervention, assessment and referral, and short-term counseling. Her post-doctoral residency was completed at a local forensic private practice where she remained for three years.
