I have been a licensed counselor for 25 years, and I have worked consistently in the mental health field in various roles including therapist, clinical manager, diagnostician, and college instructor. I believe the key to meaningful and effective counseling is connection and that empathy, healthy boundaries, and proactively engaging in my own mental health processes have allowed me to be fully present and attuned with my clients.
