My approach to working with clients using GIVE is to be mindfully present so the client can have a gentle place to explore their needs. I practice focusing so the client can feel they are the sole focus of the interaction while simultaneously validating their unique experience. I had to hold space for you that is easy and inviting to start the journey of recovery.
