At Upstream Neuropsychology & Therapy Services, Dr. Marquez meets with patients experiencing psychological and cognitive difficulties seeking to improve their overall functioning. We service a wide variety of patient needs. At Upstream, we understand that the day-to-day struggle can be real. We are here to listen and make sense of some of it. We are founded on principles of neuropsychology which hopes to study the brain and how it relates to behavior and cognition. As such, individuals with previous brain injuries (e.g. stroke, traumatic brain injury etc.) are particularly benefitted from our services. In terms of our therapeutic modality, we take a humanistic, person-centered approach to psychotherapy that focuses on the individual’s experience in the present, their responsibility, and the impact of their social environment. Our aim is to increase self-awareness and promote personal growth by helping individuals understand their thoughts and feelings.
