You know that feeling of disconnection between your head and your heart? When you're struggling and know that the feedback you're getting from trusted loved ones is logical, but for some reason it just isn't making you feel better? If you could just "think" or "do" your way out of pain, you probably wouldn't be here. Emotions always show up for good reason - even when they don't seem to fit. God created the spectrum of emotions to be felt, seen, heard, and understood. When we don't have a safe place to explore them, they get ignored, buried, stuck, and confusing, and they can no longer do their job. This creates disconnection.
