Hi, I’m Vanessa. Therapy with me is less about fixing and more about creating a safe, collaborative space where your story, your parts, and your healing get to unfold at their own pace. I specialize in working with complex trauma—especially the kind that happens in places that were supposed to help, but instead harmed (what we call iatrogenic trauma), including the experiences of adult and teen survivors of the Troubled Teen Industry (TTI). Because of this, I place a strong emphasis on safety, choice, and transparency, so that therapy itself can feel like a place of restoration rather than another system you have to survive. I often draw from Attachment Focused EMDR (Level 3) and Internal Family Systems, two approaches that honor the nervous system and the inner world of parts we all carry. Our work may include helping your body release what it has been holding, listening deeply to parts of you that have been exiled, and reconnecting you to a sense of inner trust and wholeness.
