I see both first responders as well as non first responders in my practice. I strive to create a space for clients to come in and unwind after a full day of school, working, or "momming." I work with children ages 6 and up. I use play therapy and art interventions to assist children in expressing themselves. I have an easy going energy that connects well with children and teens. I work with children and teens experiencing anxiety, behavioral issues, trauma or depression. I also work with young adults that are having a difficult time transitioning into adulthood. I am EMDR trained and a Certified First Responder Counselor. I typically see first responders and partners of first responders (i.e. LEO wives, Fire wives struggling with their partner being in a high demanding job). Common themes amongst first responder couples include feeling disconnected, lack of communication, transitioning from demanding job back to home life.
