I am a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor. I received my Master’s degree in school counseling in 2018 and have been working in schools with students between 6th grade and 12th grade since. Junior high and high school students are dealing with more stress and anxiety than ever these days stemming from social issues, gender and sexual identity issues, academic concerns and decisions around their college and career plans. I discuss these issues daily and work to help students ease their stress and anxiety around them.
