My therapeutic approach is strengths-based, and centered on the belief that with help, you can learn to think, feel and behave better. My therapeutic role is to promote enhanced self-awareness, encourage coping skills, and foster personal responsibility. These skills will enable you to respond better to adversity and maintain a healthier perspective on your difficulties. You will also realize that you CAN learn to stabilize and reassure yourself when problems arise (as they always do), and thereby work through them more effectively. Through better self-awareness, skill-building and recognizing your innate strengths, you will be able to manage and modify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that do not serve you well. My specialties are treatment of PTSD / trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and unhealthy lifestyles.
