I am a Vietnam-era veteran who worked as a Medical Specialist, protecting our Nation's heroes suffering from Medical and Mental Health problems. After the Service, I embarked on a 31-year history of working with individuals in our communities with Serious Mental Health problems and Psychoactive Substance addictions. During my occupational transitions, I was employed at Grady Memorial Hospital (12 years), Fulton County MH (12 years), and the Dekalb Community Service Board for 23 years. I was also an Adjunct Instructor at Ashford University and A Mental Health Clinician at Laurel Heights Hospital.
