In my role as counselor, I’m guided by a desire to deeply understand who you are, how you see yourself and your place in the world, and the changes you want to make to lead a more fulfilling life. People are only able to reach a space of true healing and growth when they feel a deep-seated sense of safety. I work hard to create this by making space for intersecting identities and intentionally challenging thoughts and feelings that have historically caused clients to feel ashamed. No one should have to suffer alone. The therapy process can be an onerous and vulnerable one; it can also be transformative and joyful.
