I often find current notions of “behavioral” or “mental” health to be rooted in an inaccurate medical paradigm, and so I prefer to consider social/emotional/spiritual wellbeing; “psyche” literally means “the soul” and thus I see the goal of psychotherapy as to help heal the soul. Depression and anxiety are understandable responses to problematic situations, and I enjoy helping to unravel the complicated dynamics of your lived experience in order to achieve your goals. I often work with people around issues of gender, identity, and culture; I also enjoy working with creative people, and people navigating challenging life transitions.
