Oftentimes clients come to therapy stuck in patterns that are not serving them well, and they do not understand how they ended up where they are. My goal in working with clients is to help them know, understand, and have compassion for themselves, and in the case of couples and families, for each other as well. I provide a safe and nurturing environment where clients are free to express their thoughts and feelings, and I work to help them make sense of it all. My goal is to meet clients where they are, and give them the tools to get to where they want to be emotionally and psychologically. I utilize family systems theory to help clients understand their role in the patterns they are stuck in with themselves and in important relationships. I have extensive training in trauma-informed care, co-dependency, and how relationships both impact and are impacted by the individual.
