I believe that the success of therapy lies within the therapeutic relationship. As a psychologist I know that therapy can be an anxiety producing process, therefore I do my best to make my patients feel comfortable. I am very interactive and I often ask questions and offer suggestions. My ideal client is a child, adolescent, or adult that is experiencing anxiety; either generalized or concerning a specific issue. I work within a cognitive behavioral modality, offering ways to empower patients to help themselves cope with their symptoms of anxiety. I specialize in helping patients deal with anxiety, depression or life changes such as divorce. I also have extensive experience working with gifted and talented children and teenagers. Gifted children often face challenges due to their oversensitivity and emotionality. I conduct IQ tests, consult with parents of gifted children and I work directly with children to manage their emotions and develop appropriate social skills.
