I have worked in the area of mental health for over thirty years: first as a special educator and then as a licensed clinical psychologist serving children, adults and couples from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. I am ecclectic in approach using elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is critical for change and that the work must be done in a setting of trust and mutual respect. My special interests include working with individuals and couples on relationship issues and problems related to self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
