My history has enabled me to understand and support people with complex backgrounds. I come from a multi-cultural blended family whose individuals differed tremendously. At a young age I recognized the complexity of human identity as I tried to navigate being part of two cultures when I became an immigrant at the age of 14. Now as a therapist, I have gained knowledge and experience to support children and families in learning how to understand and communicate with one another, as well as individuals and couples going through difficult life stages. I hope to be part of your journey of growth and wellness. I am rooted in attachment and relational psychodynamic theory to help develop insight, explore change, and name emotions. I also incorporate behavioral approaches to generate strategies and help clients gain coping skills when they are too overwhelmed and need to decrease stress before trying to further understand themselves and their relationships.
